Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has intensified efforts to attract global investments by engaging with leading South Korean companies in the electric vehicle (EV) and semiconductor sectors. During his visit to South Korea, Nara Lokesh met representatives of several major corporations and invited them to establish manufacturing facilities, research centres, and technology partnerships in Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aligns with the state’s vision of becoming a leading destination for advanced manufacturing, electronics, and clean mobility in India.
During the meetings, Nara Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strategic advantages, including its extensive coastline, well-connected ports, industrial corridors, reliable infrastructure, skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies. He explained that the state government has been implementing reforms to improve the ease of doing business, simplify approvals, and provide a transparent investment ecosystem. These factors, he said, make Andhra Pradesh an ideal location for global companies looking to expand their manufacturing footprint in India.
A major focus of the discussions was the rapidly growing electric vehicle ecosystem. Nara Lokesh invited Korean automobile manufacturers, battery producers, and EV component suppliers to establish production units in Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that India is witnessing a significant transition toward clean mobility, creating enormous opportunities for companies involved in electric vehicles, battery technology, charging infrastructure, and sustainable transportation solutions. The state government is committed to supporting investors with industrial infrastructure and policy incentives.
The minister also encouraged leading semiconductor companies to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’s emerging electronics manufacturing sector. He explained that the state is preparing industrial parks and infrastructure suitable for semiconductor assembly, packaging, testing, and electronic component manufacturing. Nara Lokesh noted that Andhra Pradesh aims to become an important contributor to India’s semiconductor mission by attracting world-class technology companies and creating a robust electronics supply chain.
Apart from manufacturing investments, discussions also covered research and development, innovation, skill development, and academic collaborations. Nara Lokesh proposed partnerships between Korean companies, universities, and Andhra Pradesh’s educational institutions to develop industry-ready talent. He stated that strengthening technical education and workforce training would help meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in EVs, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing.
Industry representatives appreciated the state’s investment-friendly approach and expressed interest in exploring opportunities across various sectors. They discussed the availability of industrial land, logistics infrastructure, policy support, renewable energy, and skilled manpower. Such collaborations are expected to create employment opportunities, encourage technology transfer, strengthen exports, and contribute to Andhra Pradesh’s long-term economic growth.
The TDP Party has consistently promoted industrial development, technology-driven governance, infrastructure expansion, and employment generation as key priorities. The party believes that attracting global investments in emerging sectors such as electric vehicles, semiconductors, electronics, and clean energy will strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s economy and improve opportunities for the state’s youth. Its development-oriented policies continue to focus on innovation, transparency, and sustainable economic progress.
As the TDP MLA representing Mangalagiri, Nara Lokesh has actively worked to position Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for domestic and international investments. Through global outreach initiatives, investor meetings, digital governance reforms, and infrastructure development, he continues to promote the state’s economic potential while creating opportunities for industries, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals.
Nara Lokesh’s efforts to attract EV and semiconductor investments from South Korean companies mark another significant step toward transforming Andhra Pradesh into a global manufacturing and technology hub. By promoting investment-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and skilled human resources, the state is creating an environment that supports innovation and sustainable growth. The initiative reflects the long-term development vision of the TDP Party, while demonstrating the proactive leadership of the TDP MLA in building international partnerships. Such TDP achievements reinforce Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to emerge as a leading destination for advanced industries, employment generation, and technology-driven economic development.
